JARLSBERG RECIPES >> Breadsticks

Makes approximately 80 pieces.

400 g all purpose white flour
125 g butter
1 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. milk
300 g shredded Jarlsberg

Garnish:
1 egg
Shredded Jarlsberg
Paprika or poppy seeds.

 


Mix the flour, butter and salt. Use a food processor if available.
Add the milk and shredded cheese and knead into an even dough.
Chill the dough for about 15 minutes.
Roll out the dough into an approx. ½ cm thick layer and cut into strips of about 1 x 10 cm.
Twist some strips together and brush with egg.
Sprinkle with grated cheese and paprika or poppy seeds.

Baking: 200°C (400°F) for about 10 minutes, afterwards allow them to cool on a wire rack.
